Lifestyles Coordinator - Memory Care
The Lifestyles Coordinator plans and conducts social, religious, educational and service-related programs for the memory care residents. Activities are experienced both within the community and in the community as a whole.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
- Assists in planning and implementing creative and exciting programming to meet the individual needs and interests of the residents within the Community with large and small group programs; provides one-to-one programming for residents who cannot participate in group settings.
- Facilitates scheduled activities such as exercises, games musical/cultural programs, and lectures.
- Plan and schedule movies, parties, games, projects, crafts, resources and field trips for residents at least one month in advance.
- Plan and purchase supplies needed for events or scheduled activities.
- Provides training in the designing of creative activity programs daily, monthly and annually to meet the individual needs and interests of the residents.
- Provides mentoring in the planning and designing of the activities calendar each month including distribution the calendar to each resident, family members, and friends, and posting throughout the residence.
- Plan and execute special events monthly while coordinating with other department managers.
- Provides guidance on the transportation of residents to and from events outside of the residence, which may include driving the residence van/bus and how to monitor and account for residents when leaving or returning to the community.
- Manage the Activities department monthly budget.
- Train the department staff on the need to train and engage community staff to help in the delivery of activities and other areas regarding the quality of life for residents.
- Provides guidance in identifying activities for special events at the residence, which includes residents, families, and friends.
- Schedule, facilitate and keep recorded minutes of Resident Council monthly meetings.
- Develops steps to identify community resources and contacts to enhance the quality of life for residents.
- Maintains friendly and concerned relationship with residents while upholding the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Participates in the review of individual resident service plans and regularly documents resident program progress.
- Helps maintain a clean and organized memory care environment which may include assisting with cleaning or sanitizing common spaces and/or resident apartments.

- Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the resident, team member, residence, company information and records.
- Maintains a safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits.
- Complies with the attendance policy.
- Complies with the cell phone and social media policies.
- Maintains neat appearance, good personal hygiene and appropriate attire per dress code.
- Participates in training, in services and attends meetings when required.
- Assists with special projects as assigned and performs other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of two years experience with geriatric residents or two years experience in the human services area. Must have demonstrated social and communication skills, both written and verbal.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Most possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a private vehicle for business use. Must be able to drive community bus. Must carry and maintain current first aide certificate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Position requires the ability to stand, reach, bend/stoop/crouch, push/pull/lift/carry up to 50lbs, twisting/ turning and repetitive motion
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
