WHAT YOU’LL DO:
We're looking for someone who is skilled in the trades (framing, drywall, interior finishes, flooring, millwork, cabinetry, painting, plumbing, and/or electrical) and looking to take their career to the next step in supervision. In addition to working alongside Crew members, the Assistant Superintendent works closely with the on-site Superintendent to manage multiple projects, meet important deadlines, and assist with various Administrative tasks.
This is a 1099 "Contract" position with full-time hours and ongoing work.
YOU’LL BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE IF YOU:
- Have knowledge of construction practices and methods.
- Are able to assist in the coordination of project schedule and subcontractor activities seamlessly.
- Are able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Are able to maintain a safe and clean work environment including on-site meetings.
- Are able to identify material, tool, and equipment needs.
- Are able to assemble sub-contractor teams or construction crews.
- Are available to work an extended extended schedule which may include 9+ hour work days and weekends.
- Have 2 or more years experience in any of the trades listed above (highly preferred).
- Are capable of working with minimal oversight, but also willing to follow directions closely.
- Are able to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours and weekends.
- While this position is primarily located in Port Charlotte, occasional travel may be needed.
