Activities Assistant / Driver Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and oversight of resident activities.
• Plan, schedule and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for our residents in our community.
• Help coordinate activity events from beginning to end including set-up, running, and breaking down.
• Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours for planned activity events.
• Provide safe, reliable, courteous and efficient transportation service for our residents.

Qualifications:

• One year of experience in assisted living or long term care

• Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to encourage and motivate older adults.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated creative ability.
• Strong skills in organization, delegation and consensus building.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a valid and active driver’s license.
• Meet motor vehicle records clearance requirements
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and general public
• Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual
