A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is someone who has an active credential as an RBT from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board in good standing.
This position requires applicant to have already completed the 40 hour RBT course. If hired, we can assist with the competency assessment and exam prep.
The roles and responsibilities of an RBT working at Limitless Learning ABA are described below.
- RBT serves to provide direct one on one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with special needs in their home, school or in the community.
- The RBT will work with clients ages 18 months up to 18 years old. Although our clients are primarily under 10 years old.
- The RBT will work with clients on communication skills, behavior reduction, functional skills and more.
- The RBT should be able to be physically active as the sessions can involve physical play, running, jumping, rapid movement and sports.
- The RBT will work directly with families in a professional and courteous manner.
- The RBT must have a positive, enthusiastic attitude and work well with others.
- The RBT must be able to accept feedback and training continuously with a positive and professional demeanor.
- The RBT will work in our clinic located in Doral, FL 33126 as well as some clients' homes and/or schools.
- The RBT will drive up to 60 minutes to see a client as the clients we serve are in various areas of Miami. Drive time between clients is paid as well as miles being reimbursed.
Requirements:
- Previous RBT experience strongly preferred
- Professional experience with children required
- 40-hour RBT training required
- RBT certification preferred
- CPR certification preferred (in person)
- High school diploma required
- Must pass background check
Duties:
- Constantly repositions self from standing, crouching, kneeling, and sitting positions to interact with and supervise children.
- Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Engage in high intensity movement play with children.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Constantly moving about the therapy center or on-site therapy location while engaging and interacting with children.
