Part-time Nurse Practitioner Part-time Job

Part -time nurse practitioner to treat residents living in long-term care facilities. Requires 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner with experience in Assisted Living facilities, Skilled Nursing facilities or home visit setting. Candidates must have experience providing health and medical services in the long- term care environment. Moreover, the ideal candidate will be prepared to provide medical services as an independent contractor. Practitioner will be working in the Ocoee, Clermont, and Apopka area. Practitioner will travel to local Assisted Living where you will see patients 2-3 days per week for routine visits, admissions, problem-focused visits as well as discharges, seeing an average daily patient case load of 25 or more patients in a Post-Acute Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and their medical records
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
• Prescribe medications
• Maintain accurate records and schedules
• Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
• Oversee patients’ overall health
• Promote good health practices
• Advance professional knowledge and conduct research

Qualifications:

• 2+ year experience (preferred)
• Current NPI # required
• Nurse Practitioner with current license
• EMR experience
• Must have obtained Medicare billing privileges as a nurse practitioner.
• Ability to build rapport with patients and their loved ones
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
