Job Summary/Position Overview
Under direction of the Executive Director, the Community Relations Director provides sales support and administrative assistance to prospective residents and resident families as part of the sales and marketing team.
Success in this role is measured by:
- Successful sales, outreach and marketing efforts that directly lead to an increase in occupancy/census
- High degree of prospective resident and prospective resident family satisfaction
- Excellent customer service metrics
- Synergy and collaboration with community team managers and Willow River home office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date records of all communication with prospective customers using lead management system
- Track each prospective resident from initial contact to the close, and finally, through the move- in
- Maintain a strong knowledge of community’s unique selling points, including benefits and services provided to residents and rates
- Build and foster relationships with key referral sources and document those connections in
CRM.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of competitor information
- Builds positive and trusting relationships with prospects by:
1. Listening to the needs of the prospect
2. Asking questions to acquire more information about the prospect’s situation and concerns
3. Presenting the benefits of the community to the prospect and explaining how the needs of the prospect can be met
4. Introducing prospects and their families to other associates, residents and families and providing opportunities for them to experience the benefits of the community
5. Inviting family members to become involved with the community through volunteer opportunities
6. Following up with prospects on a timely basis
7. Provide the prospective resident or resident family with all move-in paperwork

and ensure that it is completed and returned within the specified time frame prior to move-in
8. Coordinate with the Wellness Director to schedule an assessment with the resident as needed
9. Inform all departments and associates of the pending move-in date and the necessary information about the resident
10. Assist the resident and his/her family with the transition process through on-going communication, sensitivity, and reassurance
- Assist with planning and participate in sales initiatives and events
- Other, related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in the senior housing industry, Independent, Assisted Living, Memory Care.
Previous sales, marketing, community outreach and/or customer service experience preferred.
- High level knowledge of sales, marketing, and outreach techniques
- Experience using and managing CRM database
- Ability to plan and implement creative advertising alternatives
- Understanding of relevant markets Top-notch organization skills
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of community services, amenities, policies, and procedures
- Ability to understand and work within budget parameters
- Ability to close sales
- Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude, ability to work as a team member
- Availability to work some weekends, some evenings, and special occasions.

1. Be able to read, comprehend and comply with community rules, policies, and procedures.
2. Understand and comply with all community safety policies.
3. Be able to respond to a fire by sounding or responding to the alarm and locating and lifting a fire extinguisher.
4. Be able to lift 50 lbs. as situationally needed to assist residents, and as required, use abdominal and lower back muscles to utilize safe lifting procedures.
5. Be able to walk to locations within the Community on a consistent basis and stand for significant periods of time to assist residents and/or perform essential job duties.
6. Wear appropriate slip resistant footwear.
7. Be able to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch and rotate body as situationally needed to assist residents and/or perform essential job duties.
8. As required, exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and/or assist residents.
9. Understand and communicate with others in English (verbally and in writing) while performing job duties.
10. Be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning products.
11. Use community equipment and supplies safely, appropriately, effectively, and efficiently.
12. Take and pass a drug screening test. Accept and comply with a drug free and smoke free environment.
13. Take and satisfactorily pass a basic physical exam (State of Georgia Only)
14. Provide a negative Tuberculin test and/or a negative chest x-ray.
15. As part of the hiring process, consent and authorize the community to obtain a consumer report and/or investigative consumer report which may include a criminal background check as may be permitted by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and/or required by applicable law or regulation; and if hired, to the extent permitted by law, obtain further reports.
16. Maintain a satisfactory attendance record with regular and predictable on-site attendance at the community.
17. Report to supervisor any problems communicated by residents and/or their family members.

18. Report to supervisor any changes in a resident's physical or mental condition.
19. Assist visitors as needed.
20. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.
21. Attend all in-service programs and staff meetings when scheduled.
22. Follow work schedules and assignments for all shifts.
23. Give residents and family members prompt and courteous service.
24. Report all on the job injuries to the Department Head and/or manager on duty immediately.
25. As applicable for the position applied for agree to any additional state-mandated background checks, professional license/certification, or other investigation as well as an investigation of prior employment.
