Intake Coordinator for Home Health Medicare Agency Full-time Job

Real Solutions Home Health Care is looking for a full time in-office Intake Coordinator for our busy home health agency. Description: This position is for full time 8 hours in the office and has the potential for more income with doing on call after hours and weekends but is not required. The Intake Coordinator's primary responsibilities are:

• Receiving and analyzing incoming fax referrals, orders and calls for new and prospective clients/ patients
• Processing intake timely and ensuring all documentation is completed
• Verifies PPO commercial policies and Medicare eligibility
• Obtains authorization for visits from commercial insurance as appropriate
• Educates prospective patients, families, physicians, and hospitals regarding home health services/private duty services available
• Serves as a liaison between office and hospitals and MD offices and marketing staff
• Will eventually be part of the on-call rotation for after normal business hours and weekends/holidays with on-call pay if desired
• Reviews and uploads patient medical records in our EMR

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or higher

Experienced Home Health Intake Coordinator preferred but not required

• Experience with Kinnser, and medical office knowledge preferred

• Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Check.

• Knowledge of Medicare regulations preferred but not required

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively.
• Demonstrates proven decision making skills.
• Knowledge and the ability to apply understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to multitask, ensuring the completion of many tasks throughout the day.
• Basic, functional knowledge of computer/technology skills including, but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel, and electronic medical record with good typing skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, work well with marketing team, office personnel and hospital and doctor offices and communicates with referral sources confidently and knowledgeably.
