BrightStar Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. The ideal candidate will possess Acute Care experience with anemphasis on peripheral access. - Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
- Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
- Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies
- Foster, a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
- Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.
- Skills
Requirements:
- Current unrestricted RN license in the state for which care is being provided
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required in a home health agency or acute care setting, preferred
- Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills
- Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
- Ability to work days, weekends, nights, and holidays
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
