Job Description: Housekeeper
Our service promise to provide for “best day possible” begins with living in a beautiful community. As part of the housekeeping team, you play a critical role in how each resident perceives their home and living environment. Proactively meeting the needs of our residents in their personal space as well as addressing housekeeping needs in all common spaces, ensures that we are delivering and, more importantly, fulfilling our service promise.
Duties:
- Performs housekeeping duties in the resident apartments and common areas of the community.
- Cleans (dust, dry mop, wet mop, sanitize, scrub) assigned resident apartments and common areas daily according to facility procedures.
- Disposes of trash and waste, other materials in a safe manner adhering to infection control standards.
- Maintains par levels of supplies and assists with ordering of products.
- Maintains a stocked cleaning cart with needed items.
- Keep utility rooms clean and organized.
- Washes and folds resident linens.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and respect for the rights, dignity, and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
- Appreciates the importance of maintaining confidentiality of resident and facility information.
- Always demonstrates honesty and integrity in the care and use of resident and facility property.
- Able to understand and to follow written and verbal directions.
- Understand proper use of community equipment.
- Sufficient mobility and strength to move freely through the building and to assist transfer or otherwise move residents of facility.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Able to respond productively and to handle additional tasks/projects as assigned.
- Ability to detect odors and see spots and spills.
- Ability to move housekeeping cart with cleaning equipment.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification a plus
- Prior work experience in geriatric, nursing, assisted living, memory care or similar environment preferred
- Ability to be on his/her feet for prolonged periods
- Must be able to climb, bend, lift up to 25 pounds unassisted, stoop, kneel, crawl, push upwards of 50 pounds unassisted, reach and carry, stand for extended periods of time and may be required to move furniture.
- Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Leads by example exhibiting the core values through servant leadership.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with elderly.
- Must demonstrate the ability or work responsibility, as a team member as well as an individual
- Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality, and the rights and privacy of others.
- Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Check as required by state regulations.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
