Responsibilities for our HHA (Home Health Aid):
- Our HHA'S-Home Health Aids are responsible for various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs outlined in the plan of care.
- As the HHA-Home Health Aid you will provide assistance with daily tasks, which may include, but are not limited to: meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, transportation to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, assistance with bathing, and occasionally outdoor activities.
- You may also assist the client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and will document observed changes to then notify the Director of Nursing.
Requirements for our HHA-Home Health Aid
- HHA Certificate (or be able to pass the HHA competency test given by us)
- Minimum of one (1) year documented caregiver, home care is required.
- Documentation for Negative TB skin test in the last 12 months or TB chest x-ray in the last 5 years
- Must be able to provide two professional references from separate businesses
- Licensed/insured driver. Must have reliable automobile
- Current AHCA Level II background screening
- Must be eligible to work in the USA
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and criminal background screening
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand English and communicate effectively
- Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
