Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Full-time Job

Home Health Agency in search of an Occupational Therapist Assistant, indicated for functional limitations of activities of daily living.

Responsibilities:

• Candidate shall provide Occupational Therapy Assistant services as prescribed by a Physician, physician assistant, or ARNP, within their scope of practice, which can be safely provided in the home/facility. Conducts regular OASIS assessments accurately, according to the instructions in the OASIS Implementation Manual, and corresponding to documentation contained elsewhere in the assessment note. Participate in in-services program, and discharge planning.
• Candidate shall assist the physician, physician assistant or APRN in evaluation the patient's level of function by applying diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Candidate shall observe and record activities and findings in the clinical record and shall report to the physician, physician assistant or APRN patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in the patient's condition.

Requirements:

• Able to communicate and respond clearly on telephone and respond to patient's spoken needs.
• Able to spend 80% of the work standing and/or moving about.
• Able to walk, climb stairs, stoop, twist, bend and squat to perform essential job functions.
• Able to comprehend and utilize professional education materials.
• Occupational Therapy Assistant License (Required)
• COTA (Required)
• Florida State ID
• Social Security Card
• Physical
• PPD Test
• BLS Basic Life Support Certification Required
• Minimum 1 Year Experience Preferred
