The owner of Optimal Daily Living is an occupational therapist and health coach, specializing in Parkinson’s Disease and dementia. Getting better isn’t always a means to an end, but understanding there are many components to staying better.

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist with special interest in neurological conditions, who is certified or interested in getting certified in Parkinson’s and neurological specific areas.
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Speech Language Pathologist who demonstrates good verbal and written communication who can implement the highest standards of care for speech-language pathology services.
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will identify functional speech deficits and establish a plan of care to improve the patient's function.
Responsibilities
- Conducting appropriate evaluations, assessing home environment, and identifying equipment needs relative to speech function
- Communicate treatment plans and evaluations effectively
- Report patient progress to referring physicians
- Identifying patient/caregiver needs for other services and refers as appropriate
- Open and willing to get involved with community engagement. Walks, health fairs, etc. We are willing to train and new graduates are welcome to apply.
Please apply if you are willing to travel within a 20 mile radius of Jupiter FL. We are currently serving Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, West Palm Beach, and Palm Beach. We will be looking to expand to Stuart, FL and Martin County, as well as Delray Beach, FL and Broward County in the near future.
Schedule
- Monday thru Friday
- Weekly group meetings
- On call weekends may be necessary
- Supplemental Pay
- Bonus pay available - will be discussed
As an independent contractor, you must carry your own professional liability insurance with minimum coverage of 1M/3M per occurrence. As an independent contractor, you are required to supply your own equipment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Speech Language Pathology (Required)
- SLP Therapy license to practice in the State of FL (Required)
- Current CPR Certification (Required)
- Current LSVT LOUD Certification (Required)
- Current Speak Out and Loud Certification (preferred)
- Clinical experience: 2 years (preferred)
- Home Health: 1 year (Preferred)
- Current Driver’s License in good standing (Required)
- Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
