LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Home Care and Hospice Full-time Job

Hospice Nurses provide care to critically ill patients during the final stages of their lives.

 Provide continuous and precise assessment of patient’s pain and comfort levels.

 Making frequent visits to the patient to evaluate their condition.

 Provide support and comfort according to individual patient's needs.

 Work with caregivers to plan and execute excellent patient care.

 Report findings or changes in the patient’s condition to the Registered Nurse, interdisciplinary team and referring physician and document all reports.

 Notify a doctor for a patient’s condition when deemed necessary.

 Assist patients and their families with paperwork.

 Maintain accurate records.

 Help relatives cope with the upcoming loss and provide post-mortem support.

Qualifications:

 Proven experience as a hospice nurse or licensed practical nurse

 Knowledge of nursing care processes

 Committed to safety precautions and high ethical standards

 Sound judgement and attention to detail

 Excellent communication skills and a compassionate nature

 Formal nurse training; certification as hospice nurse is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $25.00 per hour

• Palliative Care: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Required)
• Florida LPN License (Required)
