The Pre-Claim Review (PCR)/Orders Specialist will organize, prepare and execute all pre-claim review workflow in order to achieve claim affirmation to approve billing through Medicare. The PCR Specialist will review each patient case prior to and after PCR submission to ensure all necessary components are present and coordinate with other team members and departments in order to resolve any concerns that could lead to or have led to non-affirmation, claim rejection, or claim ADR. This position will be accountable to the Office Manager/Billing Manager and will provide guidance for process or quality improvements by department and individual. Will provide timely reports and be proactive with ensuring that orders are being sent out, returned, and checked-in - in a timely manner.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent
One (1) year of Home Health Care PCR/Orders Processing experience preferred
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
At least two (2) years’ experience in health care data entry, preferably in home health care systems.
Use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, SharePoint
Strong verbal and written customer service skills
Ability to problem solve
Excellent organizational skills
Very high level of attention to detail
Efficient with word processing, data entry and telephone communications with basic medical terminology
