Line Cook Full-time Job

The Canopy at Walden Woods is a brand new luxurious Assisted Living and Memory Care Services community in beautiful Plant City, Florida. Incumbent will work closely with community Chef to plan, prepare and manage daily meal service. Duties include preparing and serving meals for our residents, assisting with inventory and ordering of food/non-food supplies, maintain a kitchen environment that promotes safety and proper hygiene in accordance to established policies and procedures. The ideal team member as a Cook will have a passion for cooking and enjoy working with senior citizens. The Cook position requires dependability, respect and the ability to work in a service driven team environment. Shift Offered: 6:30a-2:00p or 10:30a-6:30p

Requirements

Education/Experience for the Culinary Cook position:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Must have working knowledge of sanitation practices relating to food handling.
• Must have attention to detail, be flexible/adaptable, have safety awareness, and be a team player.
• Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screening.
