Line Cook Full-time Job

The Cove at Marsh Landing is an Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Jacksonville, Florida seeking a culinary cook. Our community offers a unique assisted living experiences, exquisite cuisine prepared daily by the chef, a wide variety of zestful activities and personalized heartful care from our compassionate and respectful staff.

We are seeking a part time Culinary Cook that embodies our core values of Character, Compassion, Commitment, Communication and Consistency by providing the highest standard of care and first-class customer service.

In the role of a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing foods of the highest quality and taste for our residents, portion food as specified and serve food in an appetizing manner, assist with inventory and ordering of food and non-food supplies, maintains a kitchen environment that promotes safety and proper hygiene to include, other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Education/Experience for the Culinary Cook position:

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Must have working knowledge of sanitation practices relating to food handling.
• Must have attention to detail, be flexible/adaptable, have safety awareness, and be a team player.
• Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screening.
