Position Title: Director of Foundation and Gifting
Overview: The Foundation Director for SantaFe Senior Living (SFSL) has the overall responsibility for the SantaFe Senior Living Foundation, Inc.’s (SFSLF) gifting including strategy development and implementation. The SFSLF exists to support of the ongoing mission of SFSL and each retirement community “to enrich the lives of each resident we serve” and to provide residents, families, associates and others with the opportunity to express their appreciation and support for SFSL and or the SFSL Retirement Communities through gifts and other support.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Exhibit executive presence, leadership, strategic thinking and business acumen under a direct reporting relationship to the President of SFSL.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships externally with SFSL and SantaFe Healthcare (SFHC) executives, SFSL community executive directors, other retirement community leadership personnel, Community Advisory Board Members, Community Foundation Committee Members and others to support gifting and the successful ongoing development and implementation of the SFSLF Gifting Strategy.
- Directly responsible for the SFSLF strategies, activities and results and will work collaboratively with the Community Leadership in the support of the Foundation Strategy.
Qualifications:
- Mission Driven - Alignment with the SFSL mission, culture and values of collaboration, accountability, respectfulness, ethical behavior and service-driven.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree and continuing education in gifting and foundation leadership or the equivalent required. Specific educational credentials in Philanthropy Leadership preferred.
- Experience - Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with support and leadership of gifting or foundations preferably in a senior living or complex and diversified organization with exposure to seniors and the elderly. The Foundation Director must demonstrate a working knowledge of Gifting and Foundation best practices.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
