Overview
Responsible for setting objectives and delivering results that have direct impact on the results within the area.

Oversees the day-to-day operations of an 85 bed Assisted Living Facility for the LMH community.

Provides leadership guidance to the team leaders of the community.

Must currently have a core training certification number and 2 years of Florida assisted living experience.

Must pass a level II AHCA background screening

Must have Medtech certificate

Must be CPR/First Aid certified

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Assisted Living operations, acting as contact for all staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies and the public.
  • Empowers team leaders in Assisted Living to supervise, direct, and motivate staff with their oversight.
  • Maintains high degree of resident satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of services.
  • Partners with team leaders to provide leadership for staff and residents to include pro-actively recognizing potential issues and solving at the community level.
  • Supports Assisted Living department leaders in responsibility to hire, train, discipline and terminates associates in accordance with company policies.
  • Reviews hires, promotions, disciplinary actions and termination of employment of associates ensuring consistency in the selection and retention of quality associates.
  • Analyzes trends of associate issues within the community and implements strategies to reduce turnover and increase retention.
  • In partnership with Administrator, ensure buildings, grounds and property are up to Ocean View Manor standards through the oversight of preventative maintenance systems and programs, and frequent inspections that meet company standards of excellence.
  • Maintains current Ocean View Manor policies, procedures, and licenses in accordance with company, Federal, State, and local requirements for Assisted Living licensures and services.
  • Fosters creativity among staff to deliver the highest quality and best services to residents in accordance of Community standards.
  • Empowers department leaders to demonstrate same for their respected area.
  • Acts as a member of Resident Counsel.
  • Develops and maintains a positive image within the local community.
  • Becomes active in social and civic affairs of the local community.
  • Represents the community and the company to governmental agencies, professional organizations, community groups and other appropriate public agencies/groups.
  • Ensures service plan reviews are conducted, as required by state codes, with appropriate resident care team members and resident families, which maintains the personal dignity of residents.
  • Oversees the resident move in process, healthcare management and maintenance of resident documentation to ensure compliance with company policy and state regulations.

Secondary Responsibilities

All employees are responsible for the overall welfare of the facility. If needed, all care staff employees must be able to assist with resident aid responsibilities as listed below:

  • Assist with Administrative duties when Administrator is out
  • Assist with medication passes
  • Refill prescription medications for residents
  • Provide medication reminders
  • Supervise residents’ behaviors and assist with ADL’s
  • Make appointments for residents as necessary
  • Communicate appropriate information regarding the patient’s conditions to specific practitioners and management
  • Provide residents with a copy of the MOR to take to all medical or hospital visits
  • Maintain, update and review necessary documents in resident files
  • File updated documents in residents’ files
  • Log all activities that are encountered during your shift in the shift book
  • Regularly document residents’ behaviors and needs in the resident observation
  • Review daily logs
  • Document and review any incidents with management immediately
  • Attend meetings/ trainings as scheduled my administration
  • Aid residents, families and case managers with any concerns
  • Help with resident ADL’s
  • Provide routine treatments and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Receive and process calls
  • Transport and deliver items throughout the facility
  • Assist in the cleanliness and sanitation process of the facility
  • Assist in meal preparation, service, and clean up

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call

COVID-19 considerations:
Masks are required throughout the shift. Before shift screenings to avoid spread of the virus. Extra sanitizing/handwashing during shifts

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Assisted living: 2 years (Required)
